C-182 | 5 HOURS JUMP PLANE TRAINING COURSE
The C-182 is the work horse of the skydiving industry and the most widely used aircraft for skydiving operations – globally. Obtaining your Jump Pilot Training is the first step toward jump starting your commercial pilot career and getting your first job as a skydiving jump pilot.
Jump Pilot Academy™ C-182 course generally encompasses of 2 full days of ground / classroom training, orientation and prep for flight portion of the course. The JPA C-182 Training includes:
- 2 days of classroom training
- 2 hours / dual flight time (Student / Instructor)
- 3 hours / real jump ops training (Solo Student)
- 5 hours total C-182 jump flight hours
- 10 jump flights in C-182
- Course meets USPA recommendations
- All training conducted during real skydive operations – not simulated!
This course is for commercial pilots who have the following:
- Do not quite meet the insurance requirements of minimum 500 hours PIC, 25 hours in C-182 Aircraft and 50 jump flights.
- Have 450 PIC hours
- Have 20 hours in C-182
- No jump flights

JPA Course entry requirements
As per the FAA Regulation pilots must hold:
- A valid FAA Commercial Pilots License (CPL)
- A High Performance Endorsement
- Complex Aircraft Endorsement
- FAA Class II Medical
- Min 450 PIC hours required
- Min 20 hours in C-182 aircraft
- Insurance approval prior to any training is required! (it takes 10-14 days after submitting paperwork)
- US Citizens or Legal US Residents ONLY!
